The main objective of this project was to reduce production costs without compromising durability or usability.

A Structural Solution: The Twisted Tube Chassis

The chassis was built from a steel twisted tube. This choice made manufacturing the pieces more tedious, since every edge needed to follow the tube’s rounded profile. In exchange, it gave the product a clean, cohesive look, using the natural curves of the chassis as a design language, while making the structure extremely sturdy and low weight.

Modular Accessories Through Iteration

The modules and accessories were developed through multiple iterations. The final concept includes supports for two large trash cans and two small trash cans, a mount for a broom and a shovel, an LCD display, mountings for the battery and motors, wheels, and a handlebar integrating the brake and accelerator.
